Jennifer (Houli) Houlihan

Director of Empire Expansion Nomad Sound

Jennifer (Houli) Houlihan currently serves as director of empire expansion for Nomad Sound, a live sound production company with offices in Austin and Denver. Nomad offers custom sound support for festivals, concerts, tours, and events for discerning clients. She is also the founder of ATX Music Wonks (on Facebook and at atxmusicwonks.com) and co-producer of the Austin Musician-Artists Market held the first Sunday of the month at One-2-One Bar.

Previously, Houli served as executive director of Austin Music People (AMP), a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to making the economic development of the Austin music industry a priority for our political, civic, and cultural leaders through advocacy, engagement, and research.

Houli sits on the board of directors for Evolve Austin Partners, where she serves as their communications chair. She also sits on the ATX Safer Streets board and on advisory boards for a local organizations including Black Fret, OnVinyl Media, and the Austin Technology Council. She’s an award-winning public speaker and published author, and makes frequent appearances at City Hall to advocate on issues important to the Austin music community.
